heART for Haiti Fundraiser to benefit Save the Children

The heArt for Haiti fundraiser starts tomorrow with simultaneous art shows in five different towns on Friday, Jan 29 from 6-9 pm, and Saturday, Jan 30 from 12-3 pm. Many local artists have donated work to be sold at this fundraiser. Participating galleries include Rockwell Galleries in Wilton, Westport, New Canaan and Fairfield and Galleria d’Arte in Ridgefield. One hundred percent of the proceeds of art sales at this event will go to Save the Children. If you are looking for a way to help the people of Haiti, please come to one of these events. You'll be supporting Save the Children, and also can bring home a work of art.

The Gift of Art at The Paul Gervais Gallery

The Paul Gervais Gallery will open the holiday show "A Gift of Art" on Sunday, November 22 from 2:30 - 5:00. This is the third year the gallery will hold this show, featuring work of area artists all priced at or below $500 and perfect for gift-giving. Noelle Carr exhibit "A Veterans Memorial Garden" at Ridgefield Library

A Veterans Memorial Garden is an exhibition of paintings by Noelle Carr to honor American Veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and the global war on terror.
The opening reception is Saturday, November 7 from 3-5 pm, and the show will run through November 29.
A Veterans Memorial Garden will include an A Million Thanks receptacle for visitors to leave their own letters of thanks to the troops that will be sent at the close of the exhibit.
